Purpose

 

The purpose of the privacy policy is to inform the users of the website and services of the Spatial Information System (hereinafter: PIS), which is managed and owned by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Spatial Planning, regarding the purpose and basis of personal data processing.

This privacy policy governs the collection, storage and processing of personal data collected by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Spatial Planning from your side.

This privacy policy is subject to change or amendment at any time without prior notice or notification. By using PIS after the change or amendment, the individual confirms agreement with the changes and amendments.

Our activities are in accordance with European legislation (Regulation (EU) 2016/697 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the flow of such data) (General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR) and Council of Europe conventions (ETS No. 108, ETS no. 181, ETS No. 185, ETS No. 189)) and the national legislation of the Republic of Slovenia (Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-1, Ur. L. RS, No. 94/07 and 177/20), the Electronic Commerce on the Market Act (ZEPT, Ur. l. RS, nos. 96/09 and 19/15), the Electronic Communications Act (Official Gazette of the RS, nos. 109/12, 110/13, 40/14 - ZIN-B, 54 / 14 - decision of the Constitutional Court 81/15 and 40/17) and other applicable legislation in the field of data protection).

Personal data collected by the administrator

 

The PIS administrator automatically collects only non-personal information about the use of the website. Data collection is described in more detail in the section on the use of cookies.

For registered users, the PIS administrator collects data that you provide yourself or create using PIS and data from other sources.

Purpose of data processing

 

In accordance with the regulations in the field of personal data protection, the PIS administrator, as the administrator of personal data, is obliged to ensure that it is possible to determine later which types of personal data have been transferred, to whom, when and on what legal basis or for which reasons or for the needs of which procedure, unless another law provides otherwise for the transmission of individual types of data.

Personal data storage

 

The PIS administrator will only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purpose for which the personal data was collected and further processed. The personal data that the PIS administrator processes on the basis of the law is retained for the period imposed by the law.

The personal data that the PIS administrator processes on the basis of the personal consent of the individual or a legitimate interest is retained by the PIS administrator permanently, or until there is a revocation of this consent by the individual or a request suspend processing. The PIS administrator shall delete such data before revocation only when the purpose of the personal data processing has already been achieved or if so defined by the law.

At the end of the retention period, the PIS administrator shall delete personal data efficiently and permanently, so that it can no longer be linked to a specific individual.

Individual rights regarding data processing

 

The PIS administrator ensures that individuals exercise their rights. These include the right of access, review, deletion and restrictions on processing, transfer, objection and appeal.

Individual rights to:

  • familiarisation,
  • revocation of consent,
  • access to personal data,
  • the right to rectification of personal data,
  • the right to deletion of personal data,
  • the right to limit processing,
  • the right to data portability,
  • the right to object to the processing,
  • the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.

An individual may address all requests concerning the exercise of rights in relation to personal data to the PIS administrator via a user support form or in writing to the address Ministry of Natural Resources and Spatial Planning, Dunajska cesta 48, SI-1000 Ljubljana. You can also report the violation to the Information Commissioner.

The PIS administrator must respond to the request of the individual by which he/she exercises his/her rights in relation to personal data without undue delay and no later than within one month from the receipt of the request.

In the event of a breach of personal data protection, the PIS administrator is obliged to inform the competent supervisory authority, except when it is probable that the breach did not endanger the rights and freedoms of individuals. Where there is a suspicion that a criminal offense has been committed in the event of a violation, the PIS administrator is obliged to inform the police and/or the competent prosecutor's office about the violation. In the event of a violation that may pose a great risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals, the PIS administrator is obliged to immediately or where this is not possible, without undue delay, inform the data subject. The notification to the individual must be made in understandable and clear language.

PIS uses cookies in its operation. Cookies are inconspicuous files that are temporarily stored on your hard drive and allow the provider to recognise your computer the next time you visit the website. The PIS administrator uses cookies only to collect information concerning the use of the website - how many times you visit our website and in what information you are interested.
