The Ministry of Natural Resources and Spatial Planning undertakes to make its PIS.SI website accessible in accordance with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.
The goal of website design is to make it accessible and user-friendly to all web visitors. This is achieved by following at least the AA level Web Content Accessibility Guidelines in accordance with the WCAG 2.0 standard. (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
Level of conformity
This website is partially compliant with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.
Inaccessible content
We strive to monitor and improve the accessibility of the website. However, some published content and websites do not meet all accessibility requirements as set out in the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act. Examples of such content and websites are:
- documents in pdf format,
- pictorial materials,
- graphic displays (due to technical limitations)
- websites for access to data on spatial acts and materials accessible through these pages,
- building land data viewer (GIS viewer),
- informative insight (GIS viewer),
- websites for the review of spatial development indicators.
Accessibility functions
We use the following solutions to support visually impaired and blind people:
- Magnifying letters and images in a way that changes the layout of the interface to fewer columns at a certain magnification (this is a similar principle as responsive design for mobile devices, except that the width of the graphical interface dictates increasing the content rather than reducing the screen).
- Use of contrasting letters against the background in accordance with the WCAG standard.
- Option of setting a different theme - spelling and colour scheme.
- Display adapted for blind people in the portal code.
To change the spelling and colour scheme, the Accessibility page is available and is accessible via the icon in the portal's login banner.
Keyboard navigation is enabled for users who cannot use the mouse.
